About

River Sola is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher, as well as a certified Birth Doula and Structural Integration Practitioner. Raised on Whidbey Island, River began practicing yoga when she was 15 and has personally experienced its transformative power in all aspects of life.

River began teaching in 2014, and her style reflects her passion for empowering students with a deep sense of the innate ability, strength, and wisdom of their own bodies. River brings her expertise in anatomy and kinesiology as a Structural Integration Practitioner to her yoga classes, which are devoted to nourishing physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Though her love lies in the power and rhythm of vinyasa flow,  her classes also contain strong influences of ashtanga, hatha, yin, and kundalini yoga styles. Fundamental to all her classes is a sense of awareness and joy. β€œIt is the observation of and reconnection with Self that inspires me to come back to the mat as a teacher, and as a student of yoga.” After college, extensive travel abroad, and several years of city life, River returned to the island five years ago. She also works as a certified Birth Doula and Structural Integrator, offering so many ways to get back to your Self. Contact River to learn more! She lives in Langley with her partner, two children, two cats, and two dogs.
